Choate Engineering valve covers not only look great but they also are functional!
Made from 6061 billet aluminum, another part engineered from Choate to address the failure of the 6.4 engine the 6.0 engine was never plagued with lack of lubrication at the rocker arms. Because the injectors of the 6.0 will emit oil each time they fire the injector. Whereas the 6.4 utilizes a high-pressure common-rail set up that doesn’t eject oil when fired. This design was overlooked and has led to many lifter failures that resulted in camshaft failures, once this happens the engine must be pulled and dissembled. The valve cover from Choate uses an integrated oiling design to allow drip oiling to the rocker arms at all times. This completely eliminates future failures.
