Stock forged connecting rod (small end) receives new bronze pin bushing machining & installation, and bushing is honed to piston pin spec. The forged connecting rod big end cap is surface ground, resized and honed to spec. (not applicable if billet or 4340 forged rods are selected). All rods are weight matched.
Machining operations are performed in-house on our Rottler F69ATC and our Rottler H85A Diamond Cylinder Hone, SG9MTS CNC seat and guide.
Each cylinder block is magnafluxed and inspected before any machine work to ensure the casting is sound.
Engine Block Ultrasonic Testing ensures proper cylinder wall thickness and no cavitation issues.
The cylinder block is surfaced to a surface finish of Ra 30 or finer, which exceeds the factory specification in both flatness and smoothness for the block-to-head sealing surface.
NO CORE CHARGE WILL BE BILLED AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE, BUT BY BUYING, YOU AGREE TO HAVE THE ENGINE CORE READY FOR PICK UP AND RETURN TO US WITHIN 30 DAYS OF RECEIVING THE ENGINE. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY (UNTIL THE CORE CHARGE IS PAID IN FULL). IF YOU HAVE NO CORE OR THE CORE IS NO GOOD (THE CORE MUST HAVE NO VISIBLE CRACKS OR HOLES AND ROTATE 360 DEGREES), THE ENGINE WILL BE SHIPPED IN SHRINK WRAP ON A NON-RETURNABLE WOODEN & THE APPROPRIATE CORE CHARGE WILL BE DUE.
ANY CORE ENGINES NOT RETURNED WITHIN THE SPECIFIED TIME WILL BE SUBJECT TO A RESTOCKING FEE OF 40%.
