LONG BLOCK
– Our built in house Heads
Magnuflux and Pressure Test Heads, Cut Valves, New Induction Hardened Seats, All New Valve Guides, Install New Valve Seals, Test Spring Tension, New Freeze Plugs, New Injector Cups
– Head Studs included in our Daily Driver build, New Head Gaskets
– Full CNC blue print machining, (bore, deck, hone and align honed)
The Cylinder bores are blue print bored a true 90deg from the crankshaft center line, prior to being diamond honed to within .0002″ for precise piston to cylinder bore clearances. Main bore ( line bore) for the crank shaft is linked bored to precisely align the crankshaft in the engine block. Bore block back to crankshaft center line Hone Block to Ra 13 finish. Piston diameter measured to the nearest .0001″ matched to cylinder bores. Cylinder block is surfaced to surface finish Ra 20 or finer, which exceeds the factory specification in both flatness and smoothness for the block to head sealing surface.

All rods are blue print bored to 6.929 center to center and new bushings are installed and honed Line hone all mains. Check main and Rod clearances

FAILURE TO DO SO WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY (UNTIL CORE CHARGE IS PAID IN FULL) THE CORE CHARGE IS 4500.00 IF YOU HAVE NO CORE OR THE CORE IS NO GOOD. (CORE MUST HAVE NO VISIBLE CRACKS OR HOLES AND ROTATE 360 DEGREES) CORE WILL BE INSPECTED AND MUST MEET DIESEL DOCTOR OF TN SPECIFICATIONS TO DEEM IT A GOOD USABLE CORE. THE ENGINE WILL BE SHIPPED TO CHOATE ENGINEERING PERFORMANCE IN SHRINK WRAP ON A NON RETURNABLE WOODEN & THE APPROPRIATE CORE CHARGE DUE. FAILURE TO PAY FOR CORE FEES WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY. INSPECTION OF CORE TAKES APPROX, 30 DAYS AND WE DO SUGGEST YOU ADVISE YOUR CUSTOMERS OF POSSIBLE CORE FEES NOT TO EXCEED 2500.00 FOR A LONG BLOCK and 4500.00 FOR A FULL RUNNING ASSEMBLY.
WE REQUIRE A LIKE FOR LIKE CORE. MEANING IF WE SEND YOU A LONG BLOCK WE REQUIRE EVERYTHING FROM YOUR CORE LONG BLOCK TO BE USABLE AND MACHINABLE.
ANY CORE ENGINES NOT RETURNED WITHIN THE SPECIFIED TIME WILL BE SUBJECT TO A RESTOCKING FEE OF 40%.
